90 Minute Workshop Series
An exploration of responses to trauma in people on the autistic spectrum - looking at trauma and dissociation through a different lens.
This workshop will provide greater insights into the lived experience of someone on the autistic spectrum.
People on the autistic spectrum experience the world as an intrusive and traumatic place. We will explore how differences in brain structure and the processing and storage of memory, can make people on the autistic spectrum more vulnerable to abuse and complex trauma.
Presenter: Philippa Dryland
BACP accredited counsellor supervisor and trainer in complex trauma and a colleague who works with adults on the autistic spectrum and who has lived experience of Autism, DID and early life trauma.
