90 Minute Workshop Series
Music for Family Resonance
Children who have experienced Complex Trauma need a secure base for recovery. Parents caring for traumatised children need a secure base from which to bond with their children. So working with the family makes sense. This workshop will explore practical creative activities for developing attunement and resonance in families affected by trauma. Through making music, parents and children can experience and share the feelings that have entrapped them in negative behaviour cycles, and then together, focus on building positive attachment patterns and bonding. The workshop will explore different creative approaches at the different stages of recovery, which can be used in therapies or when supporting families struggling with the impact of trauma. No skills in making music are required.
